Faqs

That’s right: Germans, Europeans, and all non-Europeans can study in Germany free of charge – without tuition fees.
Simply put, yes, there are free universities in Germany. There are no tricks or hidden fees, public universities in Germany are FREE.

For most subjects, you can apply directly to the international office of the university. Alternatively, you can use the website www.uni-assist.de, a centralized admissions portal for international students, run by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), although not all universities use this.

Most courses are taught in German, requiring international applicants to submit proof of proficiency in the German language. Two main tests are available for this purpose: the Deutsche Sprachprüfung für den Hochschulzugang (DSH, meaning “German language examination for university entrance”) and the TestDaF.

GRE is not compulsory for most of the universities in Germany. … But apart from IELTS, many universities in Germany also accept TOEFL scores as valid proof of English proficiency.
To study in English international students have to prove their language proficiency at an upper intermediate to advanced level (B2/C1). German Universities usually accept one of these certificates: A TOEFL or IELTS certificate.

Counselling faqs

  • Your passport with visa or residence permit.
  • Several passport photos.
  • Completed registration form.
  • Proof of higher education entrance qualification, either original certificates or officially -certified copies and translations.
  • Notice of admission.
Post Graduation: students are expected to have at least 70-75% from a reputed Indian University. They are also required to appear for GRE (by some Universities) and a score of above 300 should do the needful.
Proof of financial resources aprox 10,332 euros for one year. Before you begin your studies, you will have to prove that you have enough money to support yourself. The document you need is called a “Finanzierungsnachweis”, or proof of financial resources. You are asked for it when you apply for a visa.
The application process is pretty simple if you have all the required documents. However, you should make sure to go prepared.
Despite having a 92% student visa acceptance rate, the German government will still reject your student visa for some reason such as a poor financial status, low academic performance, or lack of interview preparation, etc.
